The 4 Adjustments That Changed My Life and the Way I Practice Chiropractic

1. The Chiropractor Who Opened the Door

A chiropractor changed the course of my life. After a motorbike accident in Bali left me with six months of relentless knee pain, no one seemed to have answers, until I met him. His ability to assess what others missed didn’t just relieve my pain, it lit a fire in me. I went on to study chiropractic myself, diving deep into its philosophy and the science behind it. If it wasn’t for that experience, I’d never have found my purpose.

2. From Imposter to Believer

I graduated from Chiropractic school, still suffering with chronic low back pain. And I mean suffering, since my early teens until 25 when I graduated. Then another chiropractor, a respected colleague, put me on a care plan and adjusted me every other day until my back pain went away. And after four months, it did. One morning I woke up and realised I wasn’t getting out of bed like an old man anymore. I was shocked. My back pain had gone, I even looked under the bed to see if it was there. That transformation pulled me out of imposter syndrome and gave me conviction in the art of chiropractic. I was truly baptised in the glory of self-healing. It was incredible.

3. The Hidden Lost Gem

At a seminar called “The Hidden Lost Gem” of chiropractic, I went to learn one specific adjustment. When I received that adjustment from the teacher, I was overcome by an intense visceral response. I’d never felt anything like it. Colours were brighter, sounds were louder. There was a 30-second window where I just knew, I was now a different person. In all three of these key chiropractic experiences, I became someone new after each one. That’s why my mission is so deeply rooted in helping people transform their lives.

4. Watching My Son Get Adjusted

Another powerful moment was watching my son get assessed and adjusted for the first time. I fully trusted the experienced hands of the chiropractor. My gut was right. After she gently released tension at the top of his neck, he gaggled loudly for the first time and moved his neck more freely. That moment hit me hard . Within a week or two I flew to Amsterdam to learn from the best. That level of paediatrics is still beyond my current scope, but I know the importance of infants being checked properly. I currently work with children aged 3 and up. My youngest patient is 3, my oldest is 97.

Chiropractic, used regularly, transformed my life — and I know it can transform yours too.
